Georgina Chiou

For over six years, I’ve helped students craft standout college applications rooted in the stories only they can tell.

My approach draws from an unusual combination of experience in storytelling and admissions. I first learned how to craft compelling narratives at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, developing a strong instinct for voice, structure, and what makes a story memorable. I also spent four years supporting the admissions process at USC, working closely with the Dean of Admissions and gaining firsthand insight into how applications are evaluated and discussed.

Today, I bring those perspectives together to help students understand what is most compelling about who they are, and how to translate that into a narrative that earns the reader’s investment. Whether I’m shaping an entire application or a single essay, I think carefully about how every choice influences the admissions team’s perception: what they come to admire, what makes them curious, and ultimately, what makes them root for the student. The goal is not to manufacture a polished persona, but to reveal the student’s character with greater clarity and depth.

This approach has helped past students earn admission to highly selective universities such as Stanford, Yale, Penn, Duke, and more. Most importantly, it helps students present themselves honestly and memorably while finding schools where they can thrive.

A Boutique Approach

I work one-on-one with a select number of students each year to ensure everyone receives dedicated attention.

My approach is highly personalized and collaborative. Together, we’ll uncover what matters to you most and shape your application to highlight your unique point of view.

I’ve worked with students across the board, from 9th graders to grad school applicants.
